Green energy

A new step towards green energy

The Agrokoncerno Group, one of the agribusiness leaders in the Baltic States, is entering a new field of green energy.

The Agrokoncerno Group plans to build three wind farms generating 800-1,000 MW of energy and three solar power plants with a capacity of 499.5 kW. With such capacity, more than half a million buildings can be supplied with electricity.

The wind farms are to be built on land owned by the Group. This offers the advantage of more flexibility in construction planning and in meeting the requirements for such parks.

Wind turbines - a promising investment

Lithuania is a very promising country for such green energy parks. The plains are not a major obstacle, and the Baltic Sea provides constant and sufficient wind power.

Currently, Lithuania generates only about 11.5% of its electricity needs from wind. The country’s own electricity production is expected to increase at least 5-fold over the next 8 years. The Agrokoncerno Group plans that its parks will generate around 10% of the country’s electricity needs.

In total, over €1.6 billion is planned to be invested in green energy projects by 2035.
