Agrokoncernas Group is building a unique cow farm complex in the village of Bebrujai in Radviliškis District, unparalleled in Europe.

The Agrokoncernas Group is building a unique cow farm complex in the village of Bebrujai in Radviliškis District, unparalleled in Europe.

The 8 hectares of buildings will be used to breed almost 10,000 cattle, including 4,000 dairy cows. The entire herd will be made up of dairy cattle of the highly productive Holstein-Friesian breed.

The daily production of raw milk is expected to exceed 140 tonnes and the annual production will exceed 51,000 tonnes.

The total area of the cow complex will be 53 hectares. The fodder for the animals will be grown on cultivated meadows with a total area of about 3,200 hectares. These areas are to be expanded in the future.

Infrastructure

Innovative solutions

It will be one of the most modern farms, with the integration of a new generation of the world’s largest 100-seat robotic milking carousel from the Swedish company DeLaval, a cow behaviour analysis system, a Brolis HerdLine laser milk analyser from the Lithuanian company Brolis Sensor Technology, and other unparalleled innovations.

The farm complex will be based on circular economy

The Agrokoncernas Group’s main ambition is to develop a sustainable and non-polluting model of agricultural production, which will become a model for a circular economy in the EU.

Modern technologies and innovations allow for a high level of animal welfare, sustainable and effcient management of biowaste by-products and environmental friendliness.

A biomethane plant will be designed next to the cow farm complex to convert animal waste into biogas. Biofertilisers will also be produced for farm operations. All cultivation, feed preparation and livestock husbandry processes will be organised in such a way as to minimise greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as much as possible.

Circular economy cycle

Start of operations

The dairy farm is scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of 2026 and the construction of the entire dairy complex is expected to be fully completed by mid-2026.

The biomethane power plant project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027.

The planned investment project, worth more than 78 EURm, will contribute to the economic development of the Radviliskis region, and will be implemented in line with exceptional standards of animal welfare and circular economy.

The farm will be staffed by around 50 employees.

Strategy

This cow farm complex is the first of four planned. Each of them would have about 4,200 dairy cows. The project would produce around 20,000 animals and around 750-800 tonnes of milk per day.

Strategic partners interested in investing in raw milk production and/or milk processing are currently being sought. The planned phases of the investment programme will be implemented depending on the attraction of strategic investors and the market situation.
