In the latest “Lithuanian Business Leaders 500” (LVL 500), published by Verslo žinios for the sixth year in a row, Agrokoncernas moved up from the 20th place to the 9th.
According to the compilers of the ranking, this year’s LVL ranking leaders are not necessarily the largest Lithuanian companies, but those that have successfully taken advantage of the market situation, made far-sighted decisions, implemented measures that have increased the efficiency of their operations, paid attention to sustainability, shared their earnings more generously with their employees, and followed the principles of transparency and social responsibility.
Edgaras Šakys, Director of Agrokoncernas, says that the successful results of the year are due to the company’s many years of experience in supplying proven products and services to its customers, strong partnerships and the professionalism of the team.
“Agriculture is one of the most crisis-resilient sectors because we all need and will need food. The next question is the quality of the food that reaches our tables. That’s why our company invests heavily in science, knowledge, quality products and reliable partners, because without all this, we would not be able to develop a long-term sustainable business. Of course, the contribution of the team is also crucial. Our company employs true professionals in their respective fields, who are helping the company to grow, as well as nurturing the young professionals of the future”, he believes.
The LVL 500 ranking is special in that it takes into account not only revenue and profit growth (this year’s ranking is based on 2022 results), but also other parameters that are characteristic of business leaders: operational efficiency, employee benefits, transparency, as well as the company’s contribution in communicating its expertise and developing the business community.
