“Agrokoncernas” has signed an agency agreement with “AgXeed“, a Dutch manufacturer of agricultural robots. The first autonomous robot of its kind in the country will start working at the company’s Future Farm in spring. According to Arnas Radzevičius, Head of AgroTTC (Agrokoncernas Precision Technology Centre), the signed contract is the result of the team’s hard work and belief in the future vision. “We see very strong prospects for the future of this company. As we look much further into the future with Future Farm, we seek strong partnerships with innovators and developers of new solutions who are looking for ways to address the challenges of agriculture using the latest technologies,” says A. Radzevičius. “AgXeed” robots are designed for monotonous agricultural tasks such as haying, mulching, sowing and more. These robots can work non-stop 24/7. They are controlled by artificial intelligence, avoiding human factors such as operator fatigue, misuse of the machine and are more environmentally friendly. Crawler machines put less pressure on the soil, use fuel more optimally and, thanks to their technology, have a more accurate assessment of environmental conditions.

Joris Hiddema, CEO of “AgXeed“, is convinced that machine autonomy for agriculture is a logical step in the development of modern agriculture. “We take an integrated approach to all the processes on the farm: planning, crop production, production distribution. We don’t just build machines, we build an entire data system that gives us useful insights and allows us to continuously improve our products. “We have chosen Agrokoncernas as our partner because we value their experience in agriculture and professionalism. We believe that together we can address the challenges of the sector and empower farmers to manage their businesses more sustainably and profitably,” says “AgXeed’s” CEO. The “AgXeed” robot, coming to Lithuania in the spring, has been developed and refined over three years. Its prototype was unveiled two years ago and series production started earlier this year. At the beginning of October, the Agrokoncernas team will travel to the Netherlands for special training. The company’s specialists will then share their knowledge with Lithuanian farmers. The “AgXeed” robot is planned to work at Agrokoncern’s “Ateities Farm” in Radviliškis district. It will also be on display at exhibitions, and individual consultations will be available so that interested farmers can test the robot in their fields.
