Investing in energy as part of our goal to build the economy of the future

This year, the Agrokoncerno Group celebrates its 30th anniversary. In an interview with Verslo žinios, its owner Ramūnas Karbauskis talked about how the country’s agriculture has changed in the meantime and how the group of companies he heads has contributed to the changes. “When I was studying agronomy at the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture, what is happening now was talked about as a distant future vision. Now it’s all happening on Agroconcerno farms. I believe that in 15-20 years’ time, innovations like the ones we have now will be the order of the day in agriculture,” he says. Starting from consulting farmers and trading in plant protection products, today the Agrokoncernas Group of Companies is moving into new areas of activity – bioenergy, processing of agricultural products, innovative agriculture.
