The Kretinga fodder factory, which has long traditions and a good name in the community of animal breeders, has renewed and is starting active activities.
After implementing the latest technologies and based on the latest scientific research, a wide range of products is produced here – complete feeds, premixes, vitamin and mineral supplements for birds, pigs and cattle. It also sells feed raw materials, feed supplements and other products needed for feed preparation.
Edgaras Šakys, the director of „Agrokoncerno“ group, says that the Kretinga fodder factory will significantly strengthen the livestock sector not only in the region, but also in the entire country.
“The goal of our team is to create a new feed quality standard. We ensure the highest production quality in production, because we know from our experience that this is directly related to farm results. The Kretinga feed factory has long traditions, and the implemented innovations and scientific knowledge help to ensure that each pellet contains all the substances necessary for animal health,” says E. Šakys.
The production processes of the factory are managed by Artūras Gimbutas, a feed technologist with many years of experience and master of recipes. Having delved into the individual needs of farms, he creates specialized recipes.
“We do not use growth stimulants or hormones in the production process, and the recipes are balanced according to more than 60 quality indicators. In order to ensure the best result and feed quality, we work with farms and individually. We also pay a lot of attention to sustainability. Only the highest quality raw materials are used in feed production, a large part of which comes from local growers,” says A. Gimbutas.
One of the main goals set for the factory is to become a center of modern fodder production, supplying the country’s livestock farms with combined and other necessary fodder. Advanced technologies and the latest scientific research are used in production, which help farms to exploit the genetic potential of animals and optimize feed preparation costs
With this new field of activity, the “Agrokoncerno” group ensures a smooth production chain – from the preparation of fodder to the realization of milk production.

The “Agrokoncerno” group is building a cow farm complex in Radviliškis district, village of Bebrujai, where about 10,000 cattles will be kept, of which 4 thousand is dairy cows. The preparation of fodder, in order to ensure the full nutrition and health of the animals, will become an extremely important part of the farm complex’s activities.
The Kretinga fodder factory will help to ensure that both the group’s farms and domestic farms use the highest quality, precisely balanced or individually formulated fodder.
It is planned that the feed factory will produce more than 100,000 tons of feed per year. This factory is another step in creating a sustainable, competitive and high added value agricultural chain in Lithuania, where quality feed becomes the basis of successful animal husbandry.
