Pleasure to meet you all,
“Agrokoncerno” group of companies plans to build a modern deep grain processing plant in Kuršėnai, on the former territory of the Pavenčiai sugar factory. It would process about 500,000 tons of wheat, about 250 employees are planned to be employed.
The director of Agrokoncernas GDP, the company responsible for the implementation of this project, Imantas Motiejūnas, says that another important stage has been completed. In the rural district of the city of Kuršėnai, the in-depth Environmental Impact Assessment (PAV) report of the wheat processing plant was presented to the public.

It was presented to the community live and online by Dr. Audrius Dilba.
During the presentation, it was emphasized that the planned activity complies with Lithuanian legislation, and technological solutions are based on the provisions of advanced European Union regulations.

The general conclusion of the environmental impact assessment is that the planned economic activity will not have a significant negative impact on the environment and public health.
After the PAV report presented to the public, the decision of the Environmental Protection Agency on the permissibility of the planned activity will be awaited. After receiving a positive conclusion, the project will move to the next stage – the issuance of construction permits and preparation for the start of construction of the factory.
