In 2010, the first family festival Naisių Vasara took place. It featured a sports festival, a competition between samogitian horses, a fakir performance, and a large number of singers and actors on the stage.
This festival has become exceptional because it is the only alcohol-free event of its size in Lithuania. In this way, the organisers create a safe and family-friendly environment and atmosphere. Ramūnas Karbauskis, owner of the Agrokocnerno group of companies, was the founder of the festival and brought together a community that has grown the local event into one of the largest festivals in Lithuania for more than a decade.
The event features concerts by the country’s most famous performers, a bustling fair and educational activities for children and adults.
Due to the pandemic, the festival did not take place for two years but returned with even greater impact. In 2022, there were two “Naisiai Summer” festivals – one in July and another in August, dedicated to the Žolinė celebration. This tradition continues, with two festivals planned for the summer, offering plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
The festival’s entertainment is free of charge for its participants.
