Drone Union

Since 2024

To ensure the security of Lithuania's industry, agriculture, transportation, and other critical sectors

The “Drone Union” is a charity and support fund established on January 19, 2024, to promote the development, advancement, and application of Lithuanian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies across various sectors such as industry, security, agriculture, and transportation.

The fund was initiated by entrepreneur and politician Ramūnas Karbauskis, who has committed to allocating €1 million over the next five years to support its activities. The financing is provided by companies within the “Agrokoncernas Group”, including “Agrokoncernas” and “Agrokoncerno grūdai.”

The primary goal of the fund is to finance scientific research, experimental development, technical design, and technological testing aimed at creating Lithuanian UAVs that would contribute to strengthening national security and economic growth.

The “Drone Union” collaborates with Lithuanian universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to engage the education and science sectors in UAV technology development and promote interest among students.

Additionally, the fund brings together Lithuania’s scientific community, businesses, and public institutions to enhance and develop UAV control, video transmission, navigation, and other functions for practical applications in agriculture and national defense.

The “Drone Union” also organizes various events, such as the “Drone Day,” showcasing the latest UAV technologies, increasing public interest in the field, and fostering collaboration between different sectors.
